All the latest gossip about us.
6/01: Kris started a new job in May. She now works for the firm of Jeffrey Hynes and Associates. She is their only paralegal. She is much happier than when she was at Foley and Lardner. She says small firms are the way to go. She likes it so much, she actually stays until 5 PM instead of ducking out early!
6/01: As you can see, we have finally joined the 21st century. Heather didn't kick and scream as much as she thought she would. She loves the computer. We also got a scanner and digital camera (which Heather has developed the annoying habit of sneaking up on people with).
6/01: For those of you who knew our rat, Prudence, we finally had to put her down. Her tumor was too large. The vet said he had never seen one that size. He couldn't believe it grew in only 2 months. Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures of her. But she lives on in our hearts. She was a credit to her species.
6/01: Our mice are doing well. We had 23 babies between 2 mothers a few weeks ago.
7/19/01 Heather's brother, Adam, became a daddy! AJ (Adam Jr.) was born on Monday evening (July 16). He is very healthy and the mother (Sharon) is doing great, also. We are going up to see him this weekend. I will have plenty of pictures to post.
7/23/01: Saw AJ. He is adorable! I am totally in love! He has a head of thick dark hair. And he is very active. He has the most beautiful eyes. They are almost black. I put the pictures on another page. Click here to see them.
7/23/01: We sold off all our mice. We got sick of breeding them. When we were at the pet store, where we sell them, Kris saw a kitten she fell in love with. So now we have a new baby. His name is Samuel, nicknamed Shmuli (a Yiddish nickname for Samuel). See pictures on our family page of him.
8/14/01: The week of July 29 we went on vacation to Chicago. Heather's mother had a convention to go to and a big hotel room to herself, so she invited us along. We had a great time, except our digital camera was stolen. We ate at a wonderful Indian restaraunt where Heather's mother fell in love with Indian cusine. We tried to go to the Peace Museum, but it was busy touring the country. We went down to the Navy Pier and had a great time! We ate at Bubba Gump's, which is made after the movie Forrest Gump. And we went to see the Chicago Botanical Gardens, which was absolutely fabulous! See our pictures on the Chicago Vacation page.
